Four Indians held in Syria for planning to join ISIS: Shockingly, four Indians have been taken in custody by Syria. The sources and reports state that these individuals were planning to the ISIS the terrorist organisation.

The Syrian government has asked the Indian authorities to verify the details of the 4 people though the government has not released any personal information regarding these individuals.

Walid Al Moaulem, the Syrian Deputy Prime Minister is on a three-day visit to India. He said that the four Indians had entered Syria and were caught somehow and were taken into custody in Damascus. No further details have been specified on their arrest.

These Four Indians were  immediately taken into custody in Damascus. The four young Indians planned to join the ISIS and had entered Syria from Jordan,” Mr Moaulem told reporters in New Delhi.

He, however, did not  give details like the name, from where the men came from and when they were taken into custody and by whom when he was addressing reporters in New Delhi.

Last December 2015, three people were arrested by the Nagpur Police while they were planning to leave India and join the terrorist organisation ISIS.

Mr Moaulem, who is also serving as a Foreign Minister, said he would not be able to help the 39 Indians who were  captured and taken hostage by the ISIS terrorist groups from the Iraqi city of Mosul in the month of June 2014.
