Happy Diwali 2016 Lakshmi Puja Vidhi and Muhurat Timings: The main Diwali falls on the third day of 5-day long celebration of Deepavali. It falls on 30th October 2016. This is the day on which the devotees wake up early to take a special bath and then worshipping of Lord Vishnu done. At the entrance of offices and house, people make beautiful rangolis.

The day of Diwali or Laksmi Puja falls on an inauspicious day of Amavasya. But this pujan is regarded as most auspicious one. Lakshmi is the goddess of beauty and wealth and also the wife of Lord Vishnu. On this day, the devotees for getting blessings offer gifts to the goddess.

The Lakshmi Puja includes worship of five deities including Lord Ganesha, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, Maha Saraswati and Lord Kuber. The worship of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu and Lord Kuber starts during the evening time. The idol must be getting ready for worship either on a lotus or a swastika. Next to this, the idol of Lord Kuber must be placed with a pot.

Goddess Lakshmi is most regarded beautiful and charming female having golden complexion. The idol of Goddess always represents her holding the lotus her hand and either standing or sitting on the lotus. In the afternoon, delicious and veg food is being offered to the son of Brahman.

Silver-gold coins, supari, uncooked rice, coconut, five leaves, earthen pot, vermillion powder, oil lamps are the main elements required before starting the Lakshmi Puja. After the completion of Puja, aarti is sing by all the family members.
