Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Thanksgiving is a time to gather around loved ones …to be grateful for all that we have been so abundantly blessed with and also to spare a thought for those not so lucky. It is a season of bountifulness and a reason to share the same ….true Thanksgiving is in actually doing that – Giving !!
Kindness is something that always returns. This Thanksgiving, may you be kind enough to thank your dear ones and the almighty for their endless love and blessings.
Why do we celebrate ThanksgivingDay?
What’s its significance, all of us say.
We all find importance for which we are thankful,
And what we spend on Thanksgiving is surely a bank full.
First the purchase of food for parties galore,
Then the fuel and decorating costs come to the fore.
We eat so much food that many get ill,
And drug makers get richer with each little pill.
It all becomes clear, if we closely examine
That we’re not giving thanks for avoiding a famine;
We’re creating the wealth and the plenty we see,
Including the sports ads we watch on TV.
