Padman Movie Review and Rating: The Khiladi, Akshay Kumar is back another production to bang the Bollywood industry. He is the man who focuses on the social issues. His last release of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha showed the issues of sanitation in our country.

With this flick, he focuses on the menstrual hygiene. And you know very well that he is one of the best entertainers of the Bollywood. The movie starts with giving honour to Amitabh Bachchan. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Lakshmikant Chauhan and Radhika Apte as his wife Gayatri.

The movie shows the love of lead actor for his wife and concerns very much about her. Lakshmi is the one who is open-minded husband and knows about the issues faced by women due to menstrual cycle of every 28 days.

The way of the lead actor from Lakshmikant to Padman started after seeing the piece of cloth used by Gayatri during the 6-7 days of menstrual cycle. And he thinks that this could generate infections. So, he gifts her pads to protect her from the harmful infections.

The director, R. Balki smartly showed the big issue of the society using amazing humour without policy violation of the industry. Fans of Akshay Kumar knows that he totally immerses in the character he plays.

The common man whether he is graduated from a big university or not can do anything if he has urged to do something as shown in the movie. One more time you will fall in love with his acting and performance in the movie.

While the lead actress Radhika Apte always remain within the lines of the character and express her accordingly. This makes her one of the best performers in this role. You may find the pre-interval part of the flick somewhat annoying.

The movie with the story of a real-life hero will be releasing this Friday, Feb 9 and the story revolves around the issue of menstrual hygiene. It features Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles and based on the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham. He is the one who introduces a simple mechanism machine which could produce cheap and good quality sanitary pads.

  1. PadMan has a relevant social message, good performances and a dialogue starter for mainstream cinema that by and large shirks from discussing problems. However, Padman is a flawed piece of cinema.
