Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 2nd Day/Day 2 Box Office Collections Report – Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor


Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) Second Day Box Office Collection: PRDP had surpassed the records of his previous productions which includes “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and stolen the status of highest opening day grosser.

The romantic drama film starring Sonam Kapoor also, become the highest first-day earner among all Bollywood movies in the year 2015 which in turns beats “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.

The movie was expected to break the records of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Happy New Year” which was released almost in the same conditions as PRDP. “Happy New Year” opening day collection was Rs. 42.62 Cr from the Hindi version only.

The collection data from Tamil and Telugu version of the movie are yet to be revealed. There is a possibility for PRDP after adding all the collections may surpass SRK’s HNY. “Happy New Year” was gathered Rs. 1.43 Cr from Telugu version whereas the Tamil version was Rs. 92 lacs as per the sources.

PRDP was set to out on above 5600 screens across the globe after Diwali. HNY was also released on the Partial-Holiday and collected a total of Rs. 44.97 Cr on its opening day. The movie successfully legged “Dhoom 3” and “Chennai Express” behind.
