The audience could not get enough of ‘Bhai’, they are watching it on big-screen repeatedly times to get entertainment by Salman’s terrific performance in and as Sultan. The major part of profit came from domestic markets, however, not to forget that international box office also helped to generate a significant amount of revenue.

The move is still running strong on box offices, but the flick should face a great competition from Kabali featuring Rajinikanth releasing worldwide today (22nd July). Moreover, another critically acclaimed movie Madaari featuring Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Shergill is also coming out today. From now on, the journey would be little tough for Sultan.

Looking after the decent history of Sultan, the entire production house of the film and even fans will be disappointed if it doesn’t break the lifetime gross record of Aamir Khan’s PK ( Rs 340 Crore, the #1 in the list). Fans are anticipating the movie to grow huge and the highest ever gross record, even more than PK’s.

The 16 days collections of Sultan till now stands at Rs 274.45 Crore from domestic box offices, and the total nett income as of 21st July was 362.93. With this amount, it became #3 highest grosser in Bollywood history, recently surpassed Aamir’s ‘Dhoom 3’ lifetime business.

The rivals now are PK and Salman’s own Bajrangi Bhaijaan, these look tough to surpass. But in the coming weekend, Sultan shall easily cross the 300 Crore mark as it only needs Rs 23 Crore more. And this would be yet another benchmark if Sultan reaches this mark by Sunday.
