When the first part of Bohemian Rhapsody came out in 2018, it broke the box office records by earning a whopping $900 million worldwide. It even got many awards in a single Oscar function in 2019. The movie revolved around the queen, a British band. It showed us the struggles of the lead singer Freddie and how the whole band became famous and loved.
It was one of the super-hit movies of all time. There were rumors of a possible sequel of this Freddi Mercury’s biopic. We saw it ended where he told his bandmates that he is dying from aids. Rami Malek played the main lead and won the hearts of people by his amazing skills and it felt as if we were living in that era and experiencing that magic all over again.
We know, in reality, the singer went on to record more albums until he died in 1991. So, that leaves us with a possibility that there can be a sequel to the biopic show how he lived the last few years of his life. What is the plot of Bohemian Rhapsody 2?
As we saw, Freddie announced, in the last part, that he is dying from AIDS. We could either see the last years of the singers life or the early years, i.e., childhood as that area of Freddie’s life was not covered. So, there is a possibility for another possible sequel to the Oscar-winning movie for us.
In reality, it is believed that he found out that he is suffering from this deadly diseases later in April 1987. The upcoming film can feature the last tour of Queen which concluded in August 1986. On that tour, the band played in front of 200,000 fans at Knebworth. It could be featured as his last live outing.
Mercury’s bandmates were quoted saying that he wanted to record as much music as possible in his final years. The film could also focus how the media reacted to his illness. However, at the moment, the sequel is not happening, but if it ever comes out, these are the two possible plots we can see happening for the movie.

If it were to happen, we hope that we will see Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. He won Oscar for this movie which makes us want him back as we are already connected with the character through his acting skills. (check: Batwoman Season 2.)

Will there be a Bohemian Rhapsody 2? Release Date:
In an interview, Brian May has indicated that they are in talks for the sequel. However, it has not been confirmed by anybody it has been pointed out that it can be possible. We could maybe see our favorite band back in action at least on-screen with our favorite singer. It was also mentioned by Brian that at the moment it is not possible for it to happen at the moment.
It was mentioned that it is one painful story as it was their friend dying. Maybe in the future, they would want to tell this story, but at the moment it’s not happing soon. However, the Queen legends are very firm that a sequel won’t happen. May also said that they only focused on one aspect of the band and not the others to make it more watchable and he doesn’t think there is another movie.
