Police Union Not Happy With Jason Robsenblatt’s Aurora PD Termination
The fellow police officers were not happy with the decision of Rosenblatt’s firing, mentioning he only received the photos, and he did not play any part in the making. He added that an in-depth investigation should be held to find the real culprits.
Chief Wilson received the photos last week from an uninvolved officer who happened to saw these pics and immediately reported them to Chief afterward.
Chief terminated the cops visible in the pictures and put them on administrative leave. He reflected that an Internal Affairs Investigation had begun right away.
In an interview with IOs, former Aurora Police Officer Jason Rosenblatt revealed that he gave a mild response in the pics because “I nervous laugh and I wanted to give something short and concise and not engage in any way, and just let them know that – kinda just be done with it.”
“I don’t know if you’ve texted anybody, but if you give a short response, then you kinda close yourself down for discussion a little bit, and that’s kinda what I was hoping for,” he added.
Death of Elijah McClain
Elijah McClain, 23-years-old, was running home after picking up groceries from a store in Aurora at 10:30 PM when someone informed the 911 of a possible thief suspect wearing a ski mask.
The nearby patrolling police approached McClain, an asthmatic, and pinned him to the ground. An argument began between McClain & the police officers, Officer Nathan Woodyard employed a ‘carotid control hold’ around McClain’s neck, completely stopping the blood flow to the brain.
The restricted blow flow left him unconscious, an ambulance arrived soon at the scene and took him to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced brain dead after arriving at the hospital.
The authorities are looking at launching a Civil Rights Investigation into the matter. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, and the FBI are making progress into the investigation.
The three officers involved in the death of McClain – Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt ex Aurora Police Officer, and Randy Roedema were terminated for a while. Still, they joined back the APD two months later.
District Attorney Dave Young proposed that the officers could not be fired at the time of killing because a pathologist could not rule out the death to be a homicide.
Elijah’s death was brought back to life in the wake of George Floyd’s death, who died at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Officers while begging to breathe. He repeatedly told the officers, “I can’t breathe… I can’t breathe…”
Attorney General Phil Weiser is given the task of performing further investigation into the case. Check McClain’s last words to come out of his mouth when Jason Rosenblatt Wiki Aurora Police Officer threw him onto the ground.
