India Vs England Test Match Fixing Allegations From 2014 Tour: Sunil Devhas, DDCA Secretary and former manager of Indian Cricket Team has revealed that the 4th Test Match that was played between India Vs England in Manchester in 2014 was fixed. The allegations have came in front when a Hindi national daily conducted a string operation of Sunil Dev. In that test match, India won the toss and elected to bat and the match was finished inside 3 days.

He said that India elected to bat first despite the cloudy conditions and skipper MS Dhoni took such decision because the match was fixed. The decision was surprising for the team management as well as it was decided in the meeting that they will bowl first if they won the toss.
He has also claimed that he has even informed the issue to N Srinivasan, who was the president of BCCI (Board of Cricket Control in India). He said that he had conveyed this issue to the officials but didn’t felt the need to make the case public. He has also slammed the governing officials of the BCCI saying that they don’t care about these issues and not even reacted on the case.
The Manchester test on which Sunil Dev has alleged that it was fixed, Indian team lost the test by an innings and 54 runs and lost the 5 match Test series by 1-3.
Recently, Dev was found on the wrong side of the authorities. Even the High Court of Delhi has stayed an order restraining him from acting as a director of the supporting body (DDCA).
It has also been revealed from the sources that Dev even said to the reporters, “If you try to tap me in any operation then I will back out from my claims and will stand with the BCCI as I have been with the board from last 40 years”.
There has been no any official statement from any of the member of the Board after the claims made by Sunil Dev. However, it has been predicted that all the claims made by him are fake because of the row of DDCA going with BCCI and Feroj Shah Kotla is under the threat of losing the right to host the matches of upcoming ICC World T20.
Apparently, the game of Cricket, better known as Gentlemen’s game has always been made ashamed because of match-fixing issues, corruption and doping cases, which tarnishes the image of the game.
