In an interview Akshay taking the credit for the alliance revealed, ““I’ve been hiding this for three-and-a-half to four years. Yes, I got them to meet and Jacqueline (Fernandez; actor) was also a part of it, but she didn’t realise it because I played it very slyly,” says Akshay, who is best friends with Rahul and has worked with Asin in Khiladi 786 (2012) and Housefull 2 (2012). Rahul is 39, a good 10 years older to Asin.” He informed that this friendship grew into affair from 2012 when Asin and Akshay were shooting for ‘Houseful 2’

Coming Back to the couple’s wedding card, sources reveal that the card has been designed by the same company EDC Designs, which designed wedding cards for the Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra Marriage.
The wedding card apparently is a metal embossed card with ‘Save The Date’ written on it, followed by the name of the bride and the groom along with their wedding date.
