Well, with this the movie again may gain pace, though the probability for the same is low. As the biz is flattening, ignoring the previous day as an exception, the run may end soon. With this, after the 28-day run at the worldwide Box Office, the flick has made Rs 297.56 crore till now. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted regarding the same.
“Sultan [Week 4] Fri 57 lacs, Sat 98 lacs, Sun 1.51 cr, Mon 34 lacs, Tue 36 lacs. Total: ₹ 297.56 cr. India biz. ATBB” he tweeted. Sultan released on 6th July, on the occasion of Eid had a phenomenal opening. It made around Rs 36 crore, making to the top in the list of highest openers at the Bollywood.
Later for the next two days, the Biz expanded more making Rs 100 crore in a just 3-day run. After that, the first week openings were marvellous, though the Biz dropped by a certain level in the week 2.
Sultan 29th Day Collection
After the end of week 3, the figures totalled to Rs 293.80 crore, and since that the flick has struggled to make it to Rs 300 crore mark. It seems it would be able to nail the mark in its week 4 run. Even after 23- day run, the worldwide Box office collections for the flick were around Rs 559.61 crore.
Since then, there have been no confirmed stats regarding the movie crossing Rs 600 crore mark. It was said that the walk would be long, but it would reach the milestone. Trade experts have said that the movie will most certainly make it to the milestone.
Coming to the dominance at the screens, the screen count for the Sultan has been going lower as the new releases are coming up. The release of Dishoom and other Hollywood directorial, the distributors will compromise with the shows.
Till now, the run made by Sultan has shattered many records, which would be very difficult for any flick to repeat in future. Though the success of recently released Kabali has made it evident that records can be broken, no matter how high are they.
Salman-Anushka starrer Sultan has been a great success for both. Both have gardened appreciation for their roles, especially Anushka for fully blending into the role of Haryanvi background girl. Other than this the role of Randeep Hooda is pivotal.
