The Dazzling And Entertaining Night Of 22nd Star Screen Awards: Privileging the professional excellence in the Bollywood Film industry, These Awards are the most awaited annual ceremony. A Panel of eminent professionals from the industry holds the process of nomination and award selection.
In the year 1994 with a focus to accord, the excellence in the film industry Mr. Viveck Goenka, chairman of the Express Group initiated the Screen Awards. As opposed to other ‘popular’ awards these awards aim at recognizing and acclaiming the talent from the fraternity by the film fraternity by a way of a jury. The only awards to be conducted every year Screen awards set the trend two decades ago.
As for Past three years, this award night was hosted by the king Khan Shahrukh Khan while this year The laughter meter was raised by Comedian Kapil Sharma and Director-producer Karan Johar who hosted the screen awards. the theme was centred around the ‘Boys are Best or Girls are Best argument’.
The night was all star-studded where the celebs not just raised the hotness quotient with their best fashion, some patriotic dance performances dedicated to the real heroes of the nation- the Indian army , The awards were held on January 8 in Mumbai. The night saw the presence of stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, Rekha, while Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif gave the nights a miss.
The moment of the night was Rekha and Jaya embracing and greeting each other and also Ranveer sharing the best actor award with Mr Bachchan for their respective films Bajirao Mastani and Piku. As a part of his speech, Ranveer expressed his feelings for Deepika by ‘thanking her for making his ife beautiful’.
