Wakfu is a French animated series which was initially released on France 3 in 2008 and is based on a multiplayer online role-playing game by Ankama Games. After releasing two seasons, Ankama held a campaign to release the English dubbed version of the series, and later Netflix obtained the rights.
In 2014, Netflix streamed the existing seasons, and three years later, the third installment came out. The show gained a lot of popularity worldwide and since then the wait for season four began. There were various speculations around its renewal.

Is there Wakfu season 4?
The upcoming installment has been the most anticipated topic for the series. In June 2020, Ankama launched a season four Kickstarter campaign which was a way for them to gain total creative freedom. They set their goal at 100,000 euros for three episodes.
Additional 100,000 euros would unfold different episodes. Usually, one episode is made after spending thousands of euros. With varying levels of support, there were different rewards like in-game gifts, art, or collectors’ items, figurines, and more.
Luckily, their first goal was achieved in the first hour of the campaign. With the success the campaign saw, we are expecting to see this installment soon. So far, an official announcement has not been made. It is speculated that the fourth season will be on screens by late 2020 or early 2021. However, we will have to wait for confirmation on the same.

In the French version of the show we saw Fanny Bloc as Yugo, Dorothee Puosseo as Adamai, Adeline Chetail as Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm, Geneviève Doang as Evangelyne, Thomas Guitard as Sir Percedal, Caroline Lallau as Elely, Karl-Line Helle as Flopin, Gérard Surugue as Rubilax, Patrick Bethune as Ruel Stroud, Damien Da Silva as Grufon.
We may see most of the cast returns for season 4.
In the English version of the show, we saw a different voice cast in the third installment. We are expecting the same cast to come back for season 4 as well like, Erika Harlacher as Yugo, Cristina Valenzuela as Adamai, Christine Marie Cabanos as Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm, Kira Buckland as Evangelyne, Kyle McCarley as Sir Percedal, Cristina Valenzuela as Elely, Marcy Edwards as Flopin, Doug Erholtz as Rubilax.
What is the plot of Wakfu season 4?
The third installment ended with Yugo and his gang in front of the gates of Inglorium, the kingdom of gods. However, the land looked utterly devastated. It raised a few questions like, why was it devastated? Where are the twelve gods? Was it a direct effect of their victory? What challenges will the world of twelve faces this time?
Season four may likely answer most of these questions. It will feature the next chapter of the adventures of the Brotherhood of Tofu and the pivotal moments between the Wakfu Era and the age of Waven.
