JAYA announces 500 crores relief for the flood-hit areas of Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu has been hit by the worst monsoon fury which has caused floods. It has affected the normal functioning of the state.
On Monday, the state chief minister J. Jayalalithaa announced an allocation of 500 crores for the relief. This would help in the rehabilitation of the people who have been displaced.
“I have allocated Rs 500 crore towards relief and rehabilitation with immediate effect”,JAYA announced.
She told that the army has been brought into the action for the rescue and search operations at the Tambaram.
She further added that money would not only be used for rescue but for the allocation of the people who have been affected.

The government has been carrying out relief to its best and trying to help the individuals who have faced the fury of nature. these operations are being carried at a very fast rate especially in Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram areas, CM said.
As Kancheepuram district was severely affected, a 160-member NDRF team in total, 3 from the State’s Disaster Response Force, have been assisting in the district administration.
