For Life Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Episodes, Plot, Spoilers, News & Series Updates
For Life is officially coming back with its season 2. Let’s find out everything we know so far about the series.
For Life is a legal drama created by Hank Steinberg. The series is inspired by Isaac Wright Jr. who was wrongfully convicted for a drug kingpin in 1991. It examines the flaws and challenges in our penal and legal systems. It instantly became loved by many for displaying the social injustice many suffer.
The show has also been praised for the performance delivered by the protagonist. It follows Aaron Wallace, who is wrongfully convicted by the authorities. While he tries to get out of the wrongful conviction, he becomes a Lawyer behind bars.
When ABC renewed the show, they did not mention an official release date. Season one premiered in February 2020, so we may see the next installment in early 2021. Creator Curtis Jackson confirmed the news and mentioned that the show was renewed.
He further said it’s more than just a show, it’s more like a fight of justice. Isaac Wright fought with the system and won his freedom, now more than ever, this story has to be said. It is possible that the show may be delayed, as many productions have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the first season, we saw how Aaron was wrongfully convicted for drug-related charges. But the series ended on a cliff-hanger, where Aaron finally got a chance at re-trial.
Primarily, the show follows the life of Aaron Wallace, who becomes a lawyer behind bars. He will fight to change his life and go back to the world that was stolen from him.
So far, it has only been said that there are going to be some adjustments in the second season’s concept. The creators are tight-lipped about the plot. What do you think will happen next?
We are sure that the series will continue to put light on the judicial injustice that people face and showcase the struggle of Aaron until he finally is free.
We are hoping to see the majority of the cast return from season one like Nicholas Pinnock (Marcella) as Aaron Wallace, Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) as Safiya Masry, Joy Bryant (Parenthood) as Marie Wallace, Dorian Missick (Lucky Number Slevin) as Jamal Bishop, Tyla Harris as Jasmine Wallace, Mary Stuart Masterson (Kate Brasher) as Anya Harrison, Boris McGiver (House of Cards) as Glen Maskins and Timothy Busfield (Thirtysomething) as Henry Roswell.
50 cent and Felonious Munk made a special appearance in season one as Cassius Dawkins and Hassan Nawaz respectively. So, there are chances that they may make a cameo in the second installment as well. (check: DanMachi Season 3.)
As of now, the production of the series has not begun. However, we may see a trailer towards the end of 2020 or early 2021. Until then, you can check the trailer for the first one below.
Season one had thirteen episodes so it is likely that we may see at least ten episodes in the upcoming installment and the runtime will be around 43 minutes. However, this has not been announced officially yet. (check: Noragami Season 3 Release Date, Characters, Trailer: Will There Ever Be Another Anime Series?.)
