KK Death Cause: Popular Bollywood singer died at the age of 53. KK’s full name was Krishnakumar Kunnath. He passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Kolkata following an event.
Krishnakumar Kunnath fell ill shortly after the event at South Kolkata’s Nazrul Manch, reports said. He was rushed to CMRI, where he was declared dead upon arrival. KK uploaded a photo of his performance from Nazrul Manch earlier in the day.
Krishnakumar Kunnath was a famous playback singer who performed in many languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati. CS Menon and Kunnath Kanakavalli were KK’s Hindu Malayali parents. Before making a Bollywood debut, KK attended Delhi’s Mount St Mary’s School and received a degree from the Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College.

In 1991, a civil ceremony in which KK married his high-school sweetheart Jyothy and has a son, Nakul Krishna Kunnath, and daughter, Tamara Kunnath.
It’s unclear what caused his death. According to reports, the singer Krishnakumar Kunnath became ill after a performance at Nazrul Manch, and when taken to CMRI he was declared dead on arrival.
