The Dhantrayodashi Puja is celebrated on the thirteenth lunar day of Karthik Krishna Paksha in the month of Karthik as per the Hindu calendar. As per the Hindu mythology, during the churning of the sea, on the day of Dhantrayodashi, Goddess Lakshmi came out from the ocean of milk.

However, another belief says that this day is assigned to the 16-year-old son of King Hima. The horoscope revealed that he will be dead after 4 days of his marriage. The prince’s wife made a stack of all of her ornaments and other precious things made of gold at the entrance. When Yamaraj came, gets blinded by the glittering of gold.
