Regis Philbin Did Not Leave $20 Million or Any Amount of Money in Donation to Donald Trump Campaign: Fact Check
TV personality Regis Philbin is one of those celebrities who are worthy of giving respect or admiration. Not every celebrity of worthy especially in the Hollywood industry.
Recently, Philbin passed away. He died at the age of 86. With his death, he left behind his legacy of an enormously successful career in film and television as well as a humongous amount of money. His on-screen moments were always filled with joy. As people believe, Philbin’s humor was never crass, it was always on point. He seemed to align with President Donald Trump.
Philbin didn’t hide his political leaning. He always told with joy that he is a conservative and republican without any hesitation. He was one of the few people who deliberately opens up about their political standing. Still, he was able to manage a prominent role in the industry.
Regis believed that most of the threats he received were to blacklist him in the industry. It is based on the fact that many of his fellow conservatives were blacklisted after opening up about their political orientation.
It was his political liking that pushed Philbin the most as he promoted the Republican candidate for President in 2016, Donald J. Trump. He used to consider Trump as a savior, a man with the ability to crush the liberals and their culture. Also, he believed Trump to be a man able to put Democrats in their place who deny good Christian men and women jobs because of their politics.
In 2019, in an interview with Dunning-Kruger Magazine, Philbin said the following:
“We have never seen another man run for office with the skills and bravery of Donald Trump. This guy amazes me. He is truly amazing! Donald is a dashing gentleman, younger than myself, but with the morality and ideals of people from my generation. He’s gonna bring this country back! He said so! I have no reason to doubt him at all. I back this guy 192%.
In fact, my support for him will actually go beyond my life. I’ve never done this before, but I made a change to my will that will give a good chunk of my estate to his future campaigns. He needs to be back in 2020 to finish what he started. I hope I’m around to see it, but I am old so you never know. At least I will be able to rest in peace knowing that even in death, I still helped a man make America everything that it can be.”
Regis Philbin is probably one of the very few people who have left their hard-earned money to be used in the campaigns that would help Trump to get re-elected in 2020. So, Trump and his supporters should thank the deceased Republican for his support, respect, and gratitude.
This huge sum of money would help Donald Trump in his presidential campaign in 2020. (check: Willow Park Road House: 5 family members found dead in Elyria, Ohio.)
