Bangladesh Squad For ICC World T20 2016 Announced: The ICC World T20 is just a month away now and all the teams are preparing for that with full enthusiasm and the Team’s have been started to get selected for the upcoming Cricket carnival.
Bangladesh Team has announced its 15 man squad for the upcoming World T20 and has made a surprising change. Mohammad Mithun, Wicket-keeper batsman has been included in the side, which has came up as a big surprise.
Allrounder N Hossain has also been recalled in the squad after a long time. He will replace Shuvagata Hom, who didn’t impressed the selectors with his performances in the recently concluded series against Zimbabwe which went squared at 2-2.

The selection of M Mithun is a big surprise and his inclusion means that the team Bangladesh has now 3 wicket keeper batsman in their side with the likes of M Rahim, N Hasan and now M Mithun. Although, it is very much clear that the position of wicket-keeper will be taken by Nurul Hasan and M Rahim will be in the side as a specialist batsman and Mithun will be in the team as a backup or a specialist batsman.
Mithun was last seen in the side in 2014 in a game against West Indies. However, the game could not be completed due to bad weather. But his 2 half centuries in practise games against Zimbabwe helped his selection.
Bangladesh team had made a lot of experiments with their side in the series against Zimbabwe as they were not sure that which line up would be perfect for them in the major tournament.
The team will initially play the preliminary round and if they surpass it, only then they will qualify for the main group stage.

In the last year’s World Cup, they qualified themselves for the knock-out stage for the first time and created history. However, they lost to India in the quarter-final. Since then, they are playing their best cricket till now and would be hoping to continue in the same manner.
Before ICC World T20, Bangladesh will participate in the Asia Cup, which is beginning from Feb 24th and will be hosted by Bangladesh itself.
The last edition of World T20 was also hosted by Bangladesh itself, played back in 2014. Sri Lanka emerged as the winners of the tournament by beating India in the Finals.
