Boston Marathon 2016 Winners, Results, Prize Money: The annual marathon of the United States is hosted by several cities at Eastern Massachusetts. Every year, it is organized on the Patriots Day which falls on the third Monday of April. It is the oldest marathon in the world and best-known road racing event.

There are around 30,000 athletes who participated in the event. Both men and women take part in this marathon of 26.2 miles. In this article, we have shared the Boston Marathon Timings, Route, and other relevant information.
The first race will kick off at 8:50 a.m. EDT for the mobility impaired participants. After that at 9:17 a.m. EDT, the men’s push rim wheelchair race will commence while the women’s wheelchair will start at 9:19 a.m. EDT. They will be followed by the elite men starting at ten a.m. EDT and further waves two, three and four will take off in every 25 minutes.

The famous marathon and race will start outside the Boston from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, which follows Route 135 which constitutes of Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton and Brookline. After that, the route will get the participants to the center of Boston which is having finish line on Boylston Street near to Copley Square.
