Shares of Lincoln Financial Group (LNC) were slipping in Monday’s after-market and the life insurance company tonight saying Chief Accounting Officer Douglas Miller will retire next March and will be replaced in the post by Christine Janofsky, who is currently assistant controller at Lincoln Financial.
LNC shares were down 0.25% at $48.54 apiece, paring a 3% advance for the stock during today’s regular session.
Miller has worked at the company since 1984, beginning as advanced staff auditor at its office in Fort Wayne, Ind. Since that time, he was held multiple positions with increasing responsibility within Lincoln’s finance unit, with a promotion to assistant vice president of financial reporting in 1994 and then assistant controller in 1998. A year later, he became controller before being named to his current post in 2004.
Janofsky has worked at Lincoln Financial in 2013. Prior to joining the company, she worked at Fidelity & Guaranty Life in addition to several leadership roles earlier in her career at Nationwide Insurance.
