Dishoom 1st / 2nd Day Collection, Dishoom Friday / Saturday Box Office Report: Sajid Nadiadwala latest franchise “Dishoom” opened up today, is a roller coaster of laughs and adrenaline. Starring John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, opened up to good response from the movie-goers.
The flick got mixed reviews from the critics, though. In UAE-GCC Box office, basically, the Gulf region where the flick opened up on Thursday, critics’ verdict was not one way. Yet the opening day occupancy is expected good, much likely to increase as the positive word of mouth spread.

Coming to the casting team, Dishoom features John (Kabir Shergil), Varun (Junaid Ansari) and Jacqueline (Ishika) in the leads, whereas many renowned faces appear in cameos. Akshaye Khanna will be the antagonist of the movie, thus portraying the negative role. It features Akshay Kumar, Nargis Fakhri, Saqib Saleem and Parineeti Chopra in discreet minute roles.
A Rahul Dhawa directorial the sudden disappearance of an Indian Batsman named Viraj forms the crux of the flick. Varun and John portraying the role of cops hunt for the Batman is all that is put up in the flick. Apart from this, Jacqueline plays as a stalker for John.
The storyline though being attractive, fail to the critics’ point of view. As far as moviegoers are concerned, they find the storyline to be regular, ordinary but the way it has been compiled is what makes it watchable.
The action adventure expects some good response on its opening day. As with the massive initial investment and the expenditure on promotions the good returns are expected. The screen count for the flick is good, favoring for the biz.
The runtime for the movie is 121 minutes, thus giving a sufficient dose of fun, laughter, drama and entertainment. As no other flick is releasing today, “Dishoom” has totally free market-zero competition, as for Sultan has already been through, and Madaari is not much of a click.
The promo promises not a single pale moment in the movie. Thus the flick is expected to have around 50% percent occupancy on the opening day. The collection for the day is 11.05 cr.
Varun has earlier featured some good movies at the Box Office. His recent one with SRK was a big hit. Now he is playing the toll with new one “Dishoom”. Being a solo release and now much competition ahead, the flick has a full on the opportunity to lure the audience and mint some good money.
