Gionee M6 and M6 Plus: Gionee recently launched two of their new flagship models, their sole motto with these smartphones is not provide top-class security to the device’s content. The handset offers arrays of privacy options to the consumers.

Later, the market witnessed devices like Blackphone, the Turning Phone, and Blackberry Priv which were privacy-focused smartphones. Now there’s another brick in the wall and that is Gionee M6 and Gionee M6 Plus.
Both the models feature a MediaTek Helio P10 Processor (octa-core) clocking at 1.8 GHz (2GHz for M6 +) which is backed up by 4GB of RAM. Gionee M6/M6 Plus sports a 13 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front shooter.

The M6 offers a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display while the screen size increases to 6 inches for M6 Plus. These phones are the beast in terms of power, the Gionee M6 is housed with a 5,000 mAh battery while the later packs a 6,020 mAh powerhouse.
On their backs, there will be dual tone LED flash and a fingerprint reader. Undoubtedly, the big batteries is a plus point for drawing eyeballs. In addition, these power beats supports reverse charging, so that you can charge your other devices like smartphones, mp3 players or even digital cameras.
What draws everyone’s attention towards these flagship devices is the inbuilt data encryption chips installed in the hardware to provide top notch security in the communication and content corners. As promised by the company, the chip delivers 10 layers of protection for the consumer’s data like call records, images, documents, and other privacy content.
Though this sounds intriguing, but there is not much demand for security-focused smartphones. However, considering the monster batteries packed in the devices, it will definitely be the strongest selling point for these handsets.
Talking more about the Gionee M6 Price in India, the mobile will be released in two variants 64 GB for CNY 2,699 (about Rs 27,000 INR) and CNY 2,899 (about Rs 32,000) for 128 GB model. M6 Plus will also have two variants in the similar fashion, one for Rs 30,200 and other for Rs 32,000.
Both the models will sport two colour option Champagne Gold and Mocha Gold. These flagship models will hit Chinese markets on August 6th and August 13. Their India’s release date is still a speculation, but we can expect the manufacturer to unveil the smartphones later August 2016.
If you are wishing to buy one handset for yourself, consider the fact that none of these phones feature a 3.5 mm headphone jack. You better listen to music on a USB Type-C adapter.
