IPL 9 – David Miller Will Lead Kings XI Punjab: David Miller has been selected as the captain of the Kings XI Punjab for the IPL 9 edition. Miller, who is a player from South Africa has played in 47 IPL matches so far and is one of the best players who strikes the ball really hard.
He has scored more than 1300 runs so far in the Indian Premier League at an average more than 42 and strike rate of above 147. Miller has been one of the most successful player for the Kings XI Punjab and has made his team win alone on his efforts.

It will be really interesting to see that how the Punjab team will perform in the upcoming edition of IPL under the leadership of Miller. Punjab team didn’t have a best of season last year and was at the bottom position in the points table However, they really performed well in the 2014 edition and were the runners-up as they lost of Kolkata Knight Riders in the Finals.
The South African star batsman is with the Kings XI Team since the 4th season in 2011 and has been a consistent performer for the side. He was recently asked about how he has been feeling after getting the news and his reply came in as, “I am honoured to lead the Kings XI Punjab squad this year. I would like to thank the franchise, promoters, management and all the team members for the confidence they have in me. We have assemble an exciting squad with a good mixture of youth and experience and I am looking forward for the opportunity that lies ahead”.
The team is co-owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and the team was lead by George Bailey from the last 2 seasons. The team has got some of the world class players, which includes S Marsha and G Maxwell. They have got Virendra Sehwag as their mentor and their head coach is Sanjay Bangar.
The coach Bangar also appreciated the move by the team management and said that he has seen David becoming mature as a player and has displayed outstanding batting skills and cool temperament in the highly tensed games as well.
The 9th edition of the much-awaited Indian Premier League is going to start from April 9th after the commencement of ICC World T20.
