A reunion after a decade, The two legends Kamal Hassan and Ilaiyaraja, who together have given many classical tunes in the 1990’s until with their last “Mumbai Express” directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao in 2005.

The sources reveal that for Kamal hassan’s upcoming multi-lingual project by Director Rajeev Kumar starring Amala Akkineni and Zarina Wahab, the talks are on with Isaignani Ilaiyaraja to handle the music department while a declaration from the officials is yet to be heard.

The movie is completely based on the backdrops of USA, has been titled as ‘Appa Amma Vilaiyattu’ in Tamil and ‘Amma Naana Aata’ in Telugu.The shooting of the movie is will begin soon.
From past many movies Kamal Hassan collaborated with young music director Ghibran who has scored music for movies ‘Viswaroopam 2’, ‘Uttama Villain’, ‘Papanasam’ and ‘Thoongavanam’, everyone was assuming of Ghibran to be roped in for music for this movie as well, the news of the Ilaiyaraja reuniting with Mr. Hassan did come as a surprise.
