Madaari 1st / 2nd Day Collection, Madari Opening Friday / Saturday Box Office Report and Occupancy: Madaari, an action crime-drama film released worldwide on July 22nd, 2016. The flick features Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Shergill in the lead roles. Another big superstar Rajinikanth’s film ‘Kabali’ is also coming out today. Maadari would definitely face a hard time generating revenue today i.e., the initial day of release.

Madaari has been quite successful at attracting eyeballs as the production house managed to promote their project on multiple platforms including Television, Social Media, Posters etc. The film is paid the required attention by the entire crew to give it the extra push in terms of the limelight.

Irrfan Khan is followed by a very specific people of the group who love to watch performance oriented movies with an excellent plot. And he is better known for delivering spectacular performances displayed in movies like D-Day, Dhobi Ghat, Jazbaa etc.

Today, 22nd July is declared a holiday in Hyderabad by all the private firms in respect of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’. In addition to Kabali, there is another rival already going strong at the box offices – Salman’s Khan ‘Sultan’ which earlier was on a record-breaking spree. It demolished as many as 10+ records which would be hard now to break in near future. As it’s a weekend around the corner, it will be the option for the entertainment for people’s weekend.

According to stats, all the north’s traffic shall be sucked by Sultan and Kababli will take care of the south. The chances for  Madaari to do a great or expected business are completely screwed up by these two biggies.

Many established reviewers stated that Madaari’s storyline is similar or adapted from A Wednesday featuring Naseeruddin Shah, the story revolves around a man who asks the government to answer his questions about a disaster in which he has lost everything. Still, modern advancement and improvisations have been done to make the project more challenging and intriguing to the audiences.

If you want to watch the movie, then I’d suggest going for it. You would not regret your decision of watching Madaari over any other entertainment, the film packs some realistic life situations where a common man will be able to connect this life to the character being played by Irrfan Khan. The performance of Jimmy Shergil deserves your applaud and you should watch the film once.

Talking about the box office lineup of Madaari, then it has a lot of potentials to attract the audience with its splendid plot and powerful act delivered by its entire cast. But commercially, the film is sure to not do well as people generally prefer entertainers to spend their weekend with the family.

Irrfan Khan has managed to build a fan base in Indian and overseas too by working in movies like Jurassic Park World III,  Life of Pie etc. They have anticipated the solo film of Irrfan from a long time and finally they would get the opportunity to get engulfed by Irrfan’s splendid performance as Madaari’s protagonist.

Madaari 1st Day Box Office Collection is expected to be around Rs 7-9 Crore. While occupancy observed today is somewhere about 15-20%, quite fair for a regular star film.
