Venom first appeared in Spider-Man 3 (2007) and then later became a standalone film. Although it did not receive a positive response from critics, it still managed to earn around $850 million globally on the box office. It proved to be a huge success.

It was way before the first part came out that everybody was talking about part two. In 2019, it was confirmed that Venom 2’s work had begun. However, the question of its release date, cast, plot, etc. is still unanswered. So, let’s get into the details and find out more.

Who is in Venom 2? Cast

Well, the movie will definitely be incomplete without Tom Hardy. So, we are going to see Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and not to forget his alien alter ego. We will also see Michelle Williams as Anne Weying as Eddie’s ex-wife.

We will hopefully get answers to our question of what is exactly happening between the two. She-Venom may also get equal screen-time. We may also see Naomie Harris as Shriek. We are also going to see Stephen Graham. His role is still under wraps.

It also looks like we will be seeing Killing Eve Sean Delaney for a small role. He told insider, “very, very small blink and you will miss my role”. His role is also not been disclosed yet. Pascal didn’t reveal if we would get to see a Tom Holland/Spiderman cameo in this film.

The movie is going to be written by one of the first movie writers Kelly Marcel. However, Ruben Fleischer wouldn’t be directing the sequel as he has existing commitments. So, the sequel will be directed by Andy Serkis.

What will Venom 2 about? Plot

In the last part of the film, we saw how Eddie a failed reporter was going through difficulties after losing his entire career. He was brought back to the foundation and there he met an alien aka Symbiote (Venom).

However, in the end, we saw that Eddie and his wife Anne decide to mend their relationship and be friends. In the end, we saw Eddie telling Venom to only focus on the bad guys. Looks like the next film will be more about the two of them. However, that was in the first part but the question remains what are we going to see in the sequel.

Well, Andy Serkis who is directing the sequel said that it is going to be an extraordinary piece of cinema. However, not much was revealed about the plot by Andy. The producer, Amy Pascal of the film has revealed that this film will focus more on the relationship between Eddie and Venom. The ending of the first film promised to feature another symbiote in the Venom sequel. It’s going to be none other than Venom’s offspring, Carnage. However, we are still waiting for an official synopsis. We will let you know once an official synopsis is out. (check: Avatar 2 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Plot and Everything Else.)

When will Venom 2 trailer come online?

Initially, by now, we were supposed to get the trailer of the film. Since production has been completed, we may get the trailer anytime soon. We are waiting for an announcement of the same. We have seen a glimpse thanks to Tom Hardy’s Instagram. However, watch out for this space for any updates that come along the way.

When will Venom 2 release (date)? Premiere

The movie was initially set to be released on the 2nd of October 2020. The shoot for the movie had been completed in April of 2020. However, recently it has been announced that the Venom 2 movie will be released on June 25, 2021. All due to the worldwide delays.

Well even though the wait is for almost a year now. We sure do feel the wait is going to be worth it. (Source: Radiotimes, Gadgets NDTV)
