Xiaomi Mi 5 Release Date, Price, Features: After the success of predecessor Mi 4 and other old devices from Xiaomi, the Mi 5 is going to be another big thing from the company. The Xiaomi Mi5 has been on the first page on top news websites since 6 months ago. Previous reports unveiled in July that the device will be available from the month of August. But due to unknown reasons the release date was shifted to September. Further, the device was not released in September too. The top sources from Beijing revealed that the company will announce the Smartphone by the end of November, still it is not confirmed. So, everyone has to wait at least till the end of this year.

The Xiaomi itself hasn’t revealed anything about the next device, but the leaks had told everything in advance. The expectation as per the leaks are as follows:
The new Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to be packed with a 5.2-inch QHD screen having 2560×1440 resolution which is as usual protected by latest Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4. Other latest features such as fingerprint sensor and Type-C USB are also expected. (see: Micromax Canvas 5 specifications.)
In a report by GforGames, a tipster has posted on Weibo that the company has “patented a new technology similar to Apple’s 3D Touch,” which suggest that the technology will be same as that used in Apple iPhone 6s may be used in Mi 5.
The Xiaomi Mi5 will be run by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Operating System. More technical specs are expected to be 32/64 GB internal storage, 4 GB RAM, 16 MP rear camera with features like optical Image stabilisation (OIS), Selfie camera sensor of 5 MP. The device will be powered by 3000 mAh battery.
As per the reports, the Xiaomi Mi5 will be priced approximately at $399 (i.e., Rs. 26,500/-). Still nothing has been confirmed from the company.
