Pankaj Advani wins IBSF World Snooker Championship, Creates History-
On Saturday Pankaj Advani- India’s ace ceuist has grasped a world title count to 15, after winning the IBSF World Snooker Championship finals over his Chinese opponent Zhao Xintong.
It was not an easy win for 30-year-old Advani, the contestants exhibited some treating snooker for the viewers but after the tough fight has again dazzled the green baize with a triumph over the 18-year-old sensation 8-6 in the best-of-15 final at Sunrise Crystal Bay resort.
This is not it for the man from the world of ceusport, in history he has become the first person to take the short (6-Red) and the long snooker format in the same calendar year.

Advani won the best-of-15 final 117(106)-6, 75(56)-16, 29-68, 63-23, 87-1, 16-72, 110(74)-13, 113(93) -1, 52-65, 13-84, 77(77)-36, 14-126, 26-82, 116(109)-24.
“It is exciting. Its been such a long time,”Xintong is an exceptional player and he really made me sweat. Glad that I could make it. It is another medal for India.”- Pankaj Advani ; the world Snooker champion .
This was Advani’s first 15-Red Snooker title since 2003 when he won the crown in China. Though Egypt proved lucky for the champion, who had won his first 6-Red world title here last year.

while earlier Amee Kamani in women’s section -after losing the best-of-seven semi-final battle against Anastasia Nechaeva of Russia, losing the opportunity to be the first women player from India to reach the Finals of Championship. (women’s championship was won by Wendy Jans of Belgium).
