Airlift 11th Day Collection – Airlift 2nd Monday Box Office and Occupancy Report; First 100 Crore Club Movie of 2016: Airlift is the first movie for Akshay Kumar in the year 2016 and it has broke many records at the box office and became the first movie of the year to cross the Rs. 100 crore club.
The story of Airlift revolves around the true incident of the evacuation of around 1.7 lac Indian citizens residing in Kuwait to India when Iraq attacked Kuwait back in 1990. Ranjit Katyal, whose role has been played by Akshay Kumar is a powerful businessman in Kuwait and becomes a hero in evacuating the people safely back to their country and leading them and helping them out.

The movie created a huge buzz in the town since the release of its trailer and audience and critics were eagerly waiting for it. However, the film got a competition from Tushar Kapoor’s Kya Kool Hai Hum 3, but Airlift got better of it and managed to win the heart of critics as well as the fans.

The talkie has been directed by director Raja Krishnan Menon.
Airlift is the 4th movie for Akshay Kumar which has done a box office collection of over Rs. 100 crores at the domestic boc.
The film Airlift also features Nimrat Kaur in the movie as the lead star, who is playing the character of the wife of Ranjit Katyal (Akshay Kumar).
Akshay Kumar’s venture got many advanced ticket bookings and got a good opening day report at the box office. It managed to collect total Rs. 12,35 crores and the first weekend total was Rs. 44.3 crores. The best business day for the movie was 67th Republic Day when the film got an overwhelming response and it managed to earn Rs. 17.8 crores.
On 2nd Sunday, the film business once again saw a growth in it despite having Mastizaade and Saala Khadoos in the competition. The movie managed to collect Rs. 8.26 crores on 2nd Sunday, which is very amazing, considering the fact that it has managed to beat 3 other movies around it.
