The film opened with decent collections on the BO screens. Azhar received good reviews from the audience. After its first weekend collections, the figures has turned out to be at the 9th position in opening weekend highest grosser race till now in 2016.
Emraan Hashmi’s starrer has crossed Rs. 20 crores domestically in the first weekend and now have entered into most rough business days that are weekdays. The business reports are quite good and Azhar occupancy rate is increasing day by day.
Based on the life of former Indian cricketer Azharuddin Mohammad, this biopic is a combination of cricket and controversies. The highlight of this biopic flick are allegations faced by Azharuddin regarding match- fixing in 1990’s.
As per the reports of Taran Adarsh, Azhar opening day domestic box office collection was marked Rs. 6.30 crores. On the 2nd day, the film had shown growth of 11.11% in its business reports, with a collection of Rs. 7 crores from India.
Yesterday was Sunday and it was expected by the critics that the income figures of this flick would further increase on the 3rd day. The same happened and it gathered Rs. 7.50 crores on its 3rd day over BO screens, with an increase of 7.14% over Saturday business reports.
