Fairy Tail is also known as Fearī Teiru in Japanese. It is based on a manga series created by Hiro Mashima. After successfully delivering manga for 11 years, the series published its last volume in 2017. As much as the people loved the manga, the anime was also very well received.
Will there be Fairy Tail season 10? Release Date
In 2019 the show concluded, and it adapted two story arcs from the manga named Avatar arc and the Alvarez arc. With the ninth season, it looked like it was the last one for the series. The ending completed the entire story arc. For now, the show is canceled.
However, if Hiro Mashima changes his mind, we may see it back on screen. Nevertheless, we are hopeful that we will see an anime movie inspired by the characters in the future.
What is the plot of Fairy Tail season 10?
The show mainly followed the adventures of Natsu Dragneel, a dragon slayer from the fairy tail guild. He goes on to search his missing adoptive father, the dragon Igneel.
It is based on a supernatural land known as Earth-land. Here many creatures live like guild and wizards who use their magical powers for many things, from transportation to battles. Natsu befriends a young celestial wizard called Lucy Heartfilia, and Natsu asks her to join the guild. As the show progresses, Lucy becomes a part of the group with Natsu and Happy.
They add more members to their team like Gray Fullbuster, Ezra Scarlet, and slayer-exceed duo Wendy Marvell and Carla.
In the ninth season, Natsu returned one year later to find that Fiore is invaded by the Alvarez Empire, a military nation ruled by Zeref. He aims to gain the fairy’s heart and rewrite the history to prevent the cruelties he and Acnologia caused. It was also revealed that Natsu is Zeref’s younger brother and the real incarnation of E.N.D.
He revived him in the form of a demon to get killed by him. Natsu failed to do so, and Zeref acquired the Fairy Heart and tried to escape. However, Mavis lifted her and Zeref’s shared curse of immortality by returning his love, which killed them both.
Meanwhile, Acnologia escaped with his disembodied body and trapped all of the present dragon slayers to sustain his power. In the Fairy Sphere, various wizards including Lucy took the advantage and crippled the body of Acnologia. Meanwhile, to defeat and kill Acnologia’s spirit, Natsu borrowed the power of other dragon slayers. Doing so, he freed all the captive dragon slayers.
