Kapoor and Sons First Week Collection Thursday Box Office Report: Alia Bhatt’s romantic movie has beaten the domestic records of Sunny Deol’s “Ghayal Once Again” and Priyanka Chopra’s “Jai Gangaajal” to become the 4th highest grosser of 2016. The Wednesday collection of the movie made it surpass the box office records of Sunny Leone’s “Mastizaade”.

The total collection of the flick stands at Rs. 40.28 Cr as per the trade analyst Taran Adarsh, “#KapoorAndSons is ROCK-STEADY. Fri 6.85 cr, Sat 7.75 cr, Sun 11.75 cr, Mon 5.08 cr, Tue 4.50 cr, Wed 4.35 cr. Total: ₹ 40.28 cr. India biz.”
Directed by Shakun Batra, the Hindi comedy started well with a collection of Rs. 6.85 Cr. But the growth on the second day of release is not so much and boosted its performance on the third day. The 1st-weekend business is a total of Rs. 26.35 Cr. It has shattered many previous records and created some new ones.
Now, it soon going to become 3rd highest grosser after beating “Wazir” which has the collection of Rs. 41.02 Cr after “Neerja” and Akshay Kumar’s “Airlift”. It is an expectation that it will cross the Rs. 100 mark easily with its lifetime business.
With this production, Alia Bhatt experienced improvement after the underperformance of “Shaandaar”. The positive words of mouth proved favorable for the business of the film. Not only this, the promotion and soundtracks of the movie has grabbed considerable audiences and moviegoers to watch it.
Co-produced by Karan Johar, it features Rishi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan, and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles and other supporting roles are played by Rajat Kapoor, Ratna Pathak, Sukant Goel and more. Their hilarious work makes it a perfect entertainer for this season of Holi.

This week there is no big competitor. So, it will go nicely until the release of Kareena Kapoor’s “Ki and Ka”. The 1st-week collection of the flick will shine like a diamond and of course, the 2nd-weekend is again going to be more beautiful. Here is the early estimated data.
