Mohenjo Daro 3rd Day Collection, MD 1st Sunday Box Office Total 3 Days Report and Occupancy: The movie starring Hrithik Roshan had decent opening at the Box office. On the opening day, the movie made a total of Rs 8.87 crores, making it to the 9th highest opening of the year after Udta Punjab.
Check: Rustom Box Office Collection.
Though the opening screens were more, when compared to screen count of Rustom, yet the collections was low. Initial occupancy for both the flicks were nearby, but at the word of mouth spread, the occupancy for Rustom inclined more.
Later in the second day also, the growth was slower when compared to that of Rustom. Seeing the flow of interest, even the distributors increased the number of screens for Rustom. Rustom witnessed a growth of around 16.44% whereas for Mohenjo Daro, the count was average.
Still, the flick starring the duo Pooja Hedge and Hrithik Roshan maintained a stable hold on Saturday. Though the rival Rustom has climbed much high, yet the movie has not lost it fully. It made around Rs 9.50 crore* on its second day. Thus the two-days domestic total reached around Rs 18 crore net.
Mohenjo Daro 3rd Day Collection
With the expected rise on Sunday, this weekend the flick is expected to make around Rs 11 crore* at the Domestic Box Office. Thus the three-day collection for the flick will be around Rs 30 crore, though more can be expected.
The opening and run so far made by it were not at all imagined by the makers. The makers hoped much better response from the movie. The budget of the movie is around Rs 100 crore. The pace with which movie is progressing, the loss is evident.
Hrithik Roshan has returned to silver screens after two years, but his magic was not able to get the audience for the movie. The leads have gardened appreciation for their roles, but that isn’t sufficient to get in the audience in huge numbers.
Other than this, the strong word of mouth for Rustom has tensed the situation more. With the Independence Day round the corner, the holidays are going in favor of the patriotic movie. The romantic- adventurous directorial is not out of the battle, but it is far behind in the race.
It is one of its kinds at the screens right now. It is an epic adventure-romance flick set up in the city of Mohenjo Daro, written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It is said that the flick has already made Rs 60 crore selling it satellite and music rights. The Biz will rise for the coming days for the flick.
