During tough days, a popular digital payments company, PhonePe has announced ‘Corona Care’ as a medical insurance policy specifically for those who are infected and hospitalized for treatment. The company has joined hands with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance to make it possible and feasible.

If the person infected with coronavirus is under 55 years of age then the policy can be purchased at a minimal price of Rs. 156 which will provide cover for medical expenses upto Rs. 50,000. And the good part is that it is valid in any hospital which is providing coronavirus treatment.

In addition to this, the policy will cover expenses related to pre-hospitalization and post-care medical treatment for a period of 30 days.

PhonePe said, “Customers don’t need to undertake any medical tests before purchasing the ‘Corona Care’ policy. They can purchase it instantly from the convenience of their homes considering the current lockdown observed in the country.”

Steps to get the Coronavirus Policy

  • Open PhonePe app on your smartphone
  • Go to the “My Money” section.
  • There you will see a  banner at the top for ‘Corona Care’
  • This is just a 2 minutes process.

Now, after purchasing the policy the question will arise where to find the relevant documents of the policy? Well, the customer will get everything inside the PhonePe app.
