Marvel has created a universe of superheroes, where we tend to forget all our worries. Runaways was another show from Marvel which was well received by the audience. Originally it was released in 2017, created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. This show was more diverse and colorful than any other Marvel shows.
Marvel brought their first Bisexual and Lesbian character in Runaways. Season three concluded in 2019, and fans are keen to know if there will be another season. Let’s find out if we will ever know what happens after Alex finds a note from his future self? Will there be more adventures for the Runaways? What will be Alex’s reaction to the letter he found?
Will there be a Runaways season 4?
In November 2019, when the trailer for the third season was released, it was also announced that season three was going to be the last for the series. It was not a surprise, as we have seen over the past year, Marvel has been canceling a few shows like Cloak and Dagger, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil. It was also confirmed that Agents of Shield was going to premiere its last season this year (2020).
The showrunners mentioned that while writing season three, they had no clue that it was going to act as the last season. In an interview, Schwartz said they wanted to have the potential for another story that could be created, and if not, then it could live in our imaginations. Savage also mentioned that they wanted to make the audience feel that the group is together and united as a family. The finale reminded the audience that the Runaways would always have their adventures, whether onscreen or offscreen. In a way, the show received closure and will live in our imaginations forever.
Runaways Season 3 Recap: What Happened?
Season three started from where season two had left. Nico was trying to rescue Karolina, Chase, and Janet from Gibborim aliens. When Nico successfully saved all of them, they worked towards getting rid of Gibborim. Nico could only free Victor, Stacey, Tina, and Alex by using the spell Morgan gave her. This spell also released the witch from the Dark Dimension.
This season mainly focused on the Runaways trying to defeat Morgan. However, the show left with a cliff-hanger. In the final episode, we saw Chase from the year 2028, traveling back to 2022. It was revealed that somebody had planted a bomb in Chase’s office, and he believed that it was one of the runaways who did it. He also went back in time to save Gert, who died during the showdown between the Runaways and Morgan.
After everything took place, the Runaways, in the present time, believe that they have defeated Morgan successfully without any casualties, and they decide to go out to celebrate. As they were about to leave, Alex realized his wallet is missing. He goes back into his room and finds a note which is left by future Alex. It says “1) Infiltrate Wilder Innovators, 2) Hide Mancha, 3) Kill Nico”.
Runaways Season 4 Cast: Who is in it?

Runaways Season 4: Why was the show canceled?
Business Insider revealed that the show had less than one million people watching in the first week of each season’s launch. Given the show couldn’t touch a benchmark, the show’s future wasn’t looking bright. Recently Marvel has been changing things since Kevin Feige from Marvel Studios has become in charge of Marvel TV.
It is not known if he has anything to do with the cancellation of the shows. The show came under Jeph Loeb, and with his exit from Marvel’s, most of the shows produced by him were canceled, leaving only Helstrom, which will debut in 2020.
Where to stream/watch Runaways online?
