Sardaar Ji 2 2nd Day Collection, Sardaar Ji 2 1st Saturday Box Office Total 2 Days Report and Occupancy: Diljit starrer – “Sardaar Ji2” hit the screens last Friday with a humungous response from the audience and the moviegoers. The flick opened up with most the shows houseful or fully packed occupancy.

This movie is the continuum of the series “Sardaar Ji” released in 2015. The Punjabi entertainer was released on June 24, at around 350 screens in India and 200 screens overseas. The occupancy was phenomenal at the screens especially in the east Punjab region and other northern circuitries when compared to other Punjabi flick.
Rohit Jugraj directorial “Sardaar Ji2” is entertaining drama, unlike ‘Sardaar Ji’ which was a fantasy drama. “Sardaar Ji2” features Diljit in a double role, with the lead actress being Sonam Bajwa and Monica Gill.
The flick opened recording an all-time occupancy in the East Punjab and Delhi this year, leaving Bollywood blockbusters like “Housefull 3”, “Fan” much behind. Seeing the high numbers of mob at the ticket counters, Taran Adarsh also tweeted regarding the same.
“Much-awaited Punjabi film #SardaarJi2 starts with a bang… Opens to packed houses… Screen count: India 350 screens, Overseas 200 screens.” Tweeted Taran Adarsh trade analyst.
It shattered the records of its previous instalment “Sardaar Ji”, becoming a bigger opener than it. “Sardaar Ji 2” minted Rs 2.05 crore from East Punjab on its opening day, whereas the overall earnings are estimated to be around Rs 2.75 crore. The grossing is higher that “Sardaar Ji” Rs 2.49 crore.
The flick has received a positive word of mouth from the audience and the word spreads, the occupancy is expected to surge even higher. The flick is expected to mint around Rs 4 crore at the domestic Box Office on its second day being a weekend.
Now as a sequel of “Sardaar Ji”, will “Sardaar Ji2” shatter the records and earn more than the lifetime earning of “Sardaar Ji”, the stability of the flick and occupancy on the weekends will define it.

Also “Sardaar Ji2” is giving tough competition to “Udta Punjab” at the theatres. It will be interesting to see which flick dominates at the weekend. Though whatever may be the scenario, it’s Diljit who is flying with colours at the Box office at the moment.
Diljit’s first “Udta Punjab” and then “Sardaar Ji2” is making Diljit shine at the Box Office which is a good sign for the buzzing star.
