When the movie was released in 2017, the Greatest Showman 1 did well in theaters and earned a whopping $435 million at the box office. It was an obvious success and it ended on a good note. At this point, the biggest question is will Hugh Jackman be a part of the sequel. As per the interview, Zac gave in The Graham Norton Show, he said that Hugh is working on all sorts of things including a one-man show. He also said he thinks it will be the best thing to do, so he will be a part of it. It is also said that the next part could follow one of the co-stars from the previous film like Zac or Zendaya. What is the plot of The Greatest Showman 2?
Originally, the first part completed what it started and there was no question that went unanswered. So, it is unlikely that it will begin from where it left off. It may focus on Barnum’s different areas in life in the sequel. Just for an example, he served two terms in the Connecticut legislature. But, it doesn’t seem directly to be a usual musical type material.
However, it will be interesting to see if the makers can tell this story in the usual dance and music style. If they could pull it, it would become a good entertaining political musical. And, it would be engaging and impressive. Barnum also faced various spiritualists and mediums in his life. So, the upcoming plot may be based on him uncovering hoaxes.
