The “Thoongavanam” aka “Thoonga Vanam” opened with a good collection at the worldwide box office.

The movie has been out on the good number of screens of 370 in Tamil state. The single screens and multiplexes were registered to have 70% of occupancy on the first day of release. The “Vedhalam” starring Ajith had gathered most of the audiences of the state. Still the Kamal Haasan’s flick had a good opening day at the big centres of the Tamil Nadu.
On the basis of the various factor, it was estimated that the “Thoongavanam” would expect to earn less than Rs. 9 Cr and still the exact amount is in wait. The audiences are not very much affected from the heavy rains in the city because of the depression in the Bay of Bengal.
“Thoongavanam” was released on around 300 international screens and performed well at the US box office. The full reports are yet to come.
The crime-thriller flick is the remake of the french movie, “Nuit Blanche”. The star cast of the movie includes Prakash Raj, Trisha Krishnan, Kishore, Sampath Raj, Asha Sarath and many more.
Some of the big critics and audiences had given positive words of mouth to “Thoongavanam”. This was only possible only because of the hilarious work of Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan and Prakash Raj.
The “Thoonga Vanam” business might become better in further days of Diwali vacation. The filmmakers have the expectation from the flick to become highest opening weekend grosser of Kollywood of the year 2015.
