Baton Rouge Tornado Warnings
The National Weather Service, New Orleans announced that a big storm is coming towards the BR area and Northwestern Livingston Parish, beginning around 4:45 AM and later canceled the Baton Rouge tornado warning at 5:15 AM.
The weather service re-announced Baton Rouge tornado warning at 5:40 AM. The reason for repeated announcements and cancelation is that the tornados are short-lived and move at high speeds from one place to another.
However, the organization asked the citizens to take the Baton Rouge Tornado Warning seriously as the high-speed winds can cause a lot of damage.
Citizens are asked to remain at their homes and take shelter in low-level rooms, away from windows.
The electricity is cut-off for more than two thousand people residing in the area and a lot of waste is collected on the roadway at ESSEN/I-10. As of right now, it is not clear whether the debris is collected by baton rouge tornado or something else.
As of 5:34 AM, tornado warnings were also issued for Denham Springs and Pike County in Mississippi.
