Udta Punjab 12th Day Collection, Udta Punjab 2nd Tuesday Box Office Total 12 Days Report and Occupancy: Abhishek Chaubey directorial “Udta Punjab” managed some good business at the Domestic Box Office. The flick minted some good money, in the Week 1 though the biz dropped by around 86% in the second week.

“Udta Punjab” made just Rs 75 Lakhs on its Mon of Week 2, that it the first day after its second weekend. The earning was a much low as compared to 2nd weekend earning. It is expected to gross even a lower amount of just Rs 50 lakh on Tuesday.
The journey so has far has been rebellious and the flick stood up strong against the odds. Some glimpse of what has happened so far.
The flick was in the newlines before its release due to the case put up the censor board. Censor Board decided to cut around 90 scenes from the flick, before finally providing it a certificate.
This decision of Censor Board was challenged in the Mumbai High Court. “Udta Punjab” won the case against this and got approval for release with just one scene omitted.
Later before the day of release, the flick got leaked over the internet. Various sites and torrents offered full-scale download of the flick. This was expected to damage the biz. Though nothing was presumed to be definite.
After it releases, the flick got a decent response at the Box office. Its opening day earning was around Rs 10 crore. As the positive word of mouth spread among the people, the occupancy rose on later days and the flick managed to earn Rs __ crore by its first weekend.
The flick gardened enough publicity being in the new a long period before its release. This tempted many to get onto the screens to witness what was the content that offended the Censor Board so much.
Also, the response earned respect from the stars too. One of the leads Shahid Kapoor AKA Tommy Singh went on social media thanking the audience for viewing the flick. Also, after the flick had a successful first weekend, the team had a bizarre celebration regarding the same.

“Udta Punjab” – a dark movie, a storyline reading out loud some pale chapters of the menace of drugs in some prominent living areas of Northern India. The flick focused – “that the battle which the drugs addicts undergo when they decide to say NO to drugs, it most dreadful and tearing one”.
“Udta Punjab” was gardened applause for its bold and brave scenes and drama though was bit criticised for it more abusive slanged dialogues.
