The most awaited series on Netflix, Ultraman is coming back with its season 2. Let’s find out when it will release date, what will the plot be, and everything so far.
It has been a few years since the original Ultraman came out. In 2019, Netflix brought Ultraman back to the screens. Many fans were worried that it wouldn’t be able to live up to the mark. However, it was well-received by the audience.
It is based on a Manga series of the same name created by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi. It is one of the most influential series in Japan, it influenced many of the anime series like Power Rangers and VR Troopers.
Since the conclusion of the first installment, many fans had been eagerly waiting for the second season. Luckily, the series has been renewed by Netflix. They posted the news on various platforms to create buzz around fans worldwide.
When will Ultraman season 2 release? Premiere Date
Netflix has not announced any particular date for the release. It was speculated that the show would be releasing in Spring 2020. However, that was never confirmed by them.
The process of creating an anime is longer.
Because the coronavirus has disrupted so many productions, it may be a little delayed. If the production of the show is still ongoing, we may see the show pretty soon. However, it is not confirmed so far. And the production of anime takes quite a long time usually.

Ultraman Season 2 Cast & Characters
We are hoping to see most of the voice cast from season one return for season two.
In the English version, we are hoping to see Josh Hutcherson as Shinjiro, D.C. Douglas as Edo. Tara Sands as Rena and Gunnar Sizemore as Seiji Hokuto ‘Ace’.
In the Japanese version, we are going to see Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ultraman Taro. Along with him, we are hoping to see Katsuyuki Yamazaki as Shinjiro, Teruaki Ogawa as Edo. Haruka Shibai as Siji Hokuto ‘Ace’ and Haruka Shibai as Rena.
Ultraman Season 2 Plot
In the first installment, we saw Shinjiro Hayato discovered that his father was the Ultraman and he took over his position. He realized that he has some powers of his own and he could use it against the aliens trying to invade Earth.
Season two may bring necessary character developments that were missed in season one. Shinjiro may continue his journey moving forward. We hope to see the bond between him and his father, as he learns what it means to be a hero from him.
In the original Ultraman Two series, Taro was trained to be the greatest Ultraman of all. It will be interesting to see if the same happens in this series as well. However, it remains to be seen if the anime will show that relationship. It may be possible that all of them understand that they have to work as an organized team that is willing to guard Earth against the evils that exist. It will be interesting to see new threats that would challenge the heroes and test their potentials.
