Almost everyone across the globe is stressed about the coronavirus and forgot many things they used to do earlier. Just like that people are afraid to come out of their homes to celebrate festivals to the fullest.

Now, the time has arrived for the day of remembering and honoring Armed forces personnel who sacrificed their lives to take care of the nation. Yes, it is time for memorial day 2020.

Earlier, this day was known as Decoration Day and have roots during the Civil War and in 1971, the day is declared as a national holiday in the country.

This week has started with the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr and now the whole country will take out some time for martyrs. They are the ones who always thought of their service to the nation and nothing more than that.

  • Most of the municipal work such as trash pickup will be closed or will function on a different schedule depending upon the location.
  • Postal services will be closed for the whole nation. Only some priority mail will be open.
  • All federal offices will be closed.
  • Schools are already closed and switched to virtual classes, no online classes will be there on Monday.
  • Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are closed for Monday.
  • Most of the banks will be closed.
  • Only 10 or few people gathering are allowed with social distancing this Monday.

We should obey the government guidelines to slow down the spread of COVID-19 in the nation to become a proud citizen of the United States.
