Starring Suriya in the triple lead role, the film has heated up the screens of cinemas in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Naidu and overseas.

The flick received outstanding opening at theaters and has now become the fourth biggest film in Tamil and Telugu cinemas. In the list of highest opening day collections, Twenty Four grabbed fifth ranking on its premiere in the USA on Thursday and gross including Friday.
The storyline of film is fantastic and since after release, the flick has been praised by many stars, directors and industry celebrities daily on twitter. Coordination of Vikram Kumar made it possible to create such an historical film.
The three fold fantabulous performance of actor Suriya is not only loved by audience but also critics declared it award worthy. The film was released over 1950- 2000 screens worldwide and received housefull response.
The movie had a brand opening with Rs. 25 crores worldwide collection on first day. The next two days of weekend also had the same collection figures and film made Rs. 15 and Rs. 13 crores.
The first weekend gross income was repoted around Rs. 55.6 crores. The collection of 4th and 5th day was reported a bit low from weekend on account of being working days. After adding Rs. 12 and Rs. 10 crores to total collection on 4th and 5th day, the film proceeded to its 6th day.

The budget of the movie is high and reported around Rs. 60 crores but the actor believed in the script of the film, and that’s why he took the risk to produce the movie under his own banner 2D entertainment.
