Tupac Shakur aka 2Pac, the most influential artist in the Hip-Hop industry, was born today on June 16, 1971. The artist would have turned 49 today. 2Pac imprinted a magnificent impression of rapping in the Hip-Hop culture, so much that he is still remembered today after 23 years of his death.
Amid the current situation of protest and riots everywhere, the world remembers the Black Man who empowered all races through his music. 2Pac was known for producing songs that portrayed faults in the existing political and social scenes.
Even if you went to the other end of the world, someone will still recognize Tupac’s music and there is a reason behind it. Tupac (2Pac) Shakur never followed the trends of the industry, he believed in being unique and starting his own trends. While the hardcore rapping style was on its peak in the ’90s, the king unveiled his 3rd studio album ‘Me Against The World’ delivering a realistic experience as opposed to cooked-up stories being delivered by other rappers at the time.
Tupac Shakur’s rap sheet is undeniably true, the rapper faced several assault charges. However, he kept on releasing good music which encouraged youth to not take such steps or do wrong to anyone. During this period, Tupac (2Pac) released ‘Dear Mama’, a tribute to his life’s driving force, his mother Afeni Shakur.
Seven months after releasing his last album All Eyez on Me, 2Pac was shot with four pistol rounds in Las Vegas on September 7th, 1996. The greatest rapper died six days later due to deadly injuries in the chest and back area.
