Aarya Plot
Aarya is inspired by the Dutch drama series Penoza (by Peter Bart). Not much information about the plot is revealed by the producers except that Sushmita Sen is playing a rugged and strong role in Aarya 2020 as visible in the first look teaser.
However, we can expect the storyline to be similar to Penoza. The Dutch series depicts the story of a wife who takes over the organized crime business of her husband, who is allegedly killed in a brawl, instead of becoming a state witness.

Sushmita Sen unveiled the Aarya first look teaser on June 2nd, 2020 through her twitter. The teaser showcases Sen’s strength and muscles as she does a flip on still rings, she looks fully determined to dominate the world. It is titled ‘New Home, New Ropes’. Watch it below.

Aarya Release Date
Earlier the web series was due to release in March 2020. But as we all know the present situation of the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has put the world to a halt. (check: inside edge season 3.)
Aarya shooting began in December 2019 in Jaipur, Rajashtan and completed around Mid March 2020, the time when PM announced the nationwide lockdown. The creators managed to finish shooting the show in such a short time. You might be wondering, then why it has not released till now?
The lockdown slowed down the speed of post-production editing work, eventually causing the release date to postpone 3-4 months. It will probably release in June-July, however, there is no official statement released regarding the same.
Aarya 2020 is expected to release in late June 2020.
Sushmita’s last project was Nirbaak, a Bengali film released in 2015. Sen last appeared in a Hindi movie ‘No Problem’ 10 years ago. She is making her digital debut with Aarya after almost two decades since her first mainstream movie.
