The Apex Legends season 5 is going to start soon. Going by the tradition/trend, the new installment should new playable character, weapon, changes in the map or maybe a completely new map, and battle pass to Respawn’s battle royale game. As of now, we don’t know much about the upcoming season, but as per Respawn, it will be a pleasant surprise for the Titanfall fans. (check: Happy Birthday Wishes.)
Now, the question arises when is Apex season 5 going to release? The short answer to this question is – it will start later than expected. It will begin on May 12. It is nearly a week later than the originally announced date. There is going to be one more limited-time event named Battle Armor. It will be seen in season 4 itself.
In this event, players are already equipped with body shields and a P2020 pistol equipped right from the start of the match. You can play this time right now, as it is live now, and will be until May 12. The fourth season of Apex Legends titled Assimilation is approaching its end.
The current season added a permanent Duos mode, buffed Revenant, and transformed Lifeline into a more supportive combat medic. The Old Ways limited-time event had added a Bloodhound-themed town takeover to World’s Edge. Following the trend of Season 2: Battle Charge and Season 3: Meltdown, we can expect the schedule of season 4, i.e., how much longer the current Apex Legends battle pass will remain available.
The season 4 battle pass will end on May 5 at 10 am PT. It will get locked down then, and the players won’t be able to complete the daily and weekly challenges afterward. Either way, if you have already finished the current battle pass, but still want some of those rewards, you have a very little time to do so.
The time gap between seasons has reduced with season 3 immediately rolling over into season 4. Assimilation was rolled over live around 10 am PT. We don’t know yet if season 5 will be the same, but it is being expected that season 5 should start right after the end of season 4. It should launch on May 5 at around 10 am PT.
Well, if you have been following Respawn, then you must already know that they have started teasing what is coming in season 5. The first change will be the change in map of the World’s Edge. In mid-April 2020, a datapad appeared in The Dome with a mysterious connection to Titanfall 2’s Effect and Cause level.
Recently, a second data pad was released. As per a Reddit user FrozenFroh, it’s in Sorting Factory. The first datapad gave hints that there could be secret tunnels beneath Kings Canyon’s Singh Labs. As per the second one, there could be even more tunnels hidden on the western part of Apex Legends’ original map.
Stay tuned for more updates on Apex Legends season 5.
