It was then announced by CW that this show will be releasing its season 2 in January 2021. Then, we heard another news and that was Ruby Rose quit Batwoman. Now, the question is if Ruby Rose quit the show who will play the lead character? Is it still happening? Let’s dive right into the details of this show and get to know more about it.

Who is in Batwoman season 2? Cast:

Since Ruby has quit the show, we will be seeing another cast for batwoman. The show is still happening, but the recast has not been done yet. There is a tough competition and in a Twitter post Jade Tailor mentioned that she would be very much interested in doing the show. However, there is no confirmation on who will be playing the main lead yet.

So, we will have to wait for the official announcement. Apart from Ruby Rose, we will be seeing Rachel Skarsten as Beth Kane, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton, and Dougray Scott as Colonel Jacob Kane back in the show.

Ruby Rose mentioned that she has left the show after thinking a lot about it and is nothing but grateful for this opportunity. Why she left the show hasn’t been specified yet, but it was noted that she suffered a severe injury while filming the first season which dislocated her disc. It was also seen that the injuries needed surgical correction.

She has suffered from back issues for a long time. So, this could be one of the reasons while looking at her safety as the role has a lot of physical fighting scenes. Now, she will be seen playing an ex-marine officer in Doorman. She was also animated in Cranston Academy: Monster Zone. (check: The Last Narc Season 2.)

What will happen in Batwoman season 2? Plot:

By the end of the first installment, we saw how Alice was focused on acquiring the Kryptonite, the one thing that can kill Superman. She also planned on killing Batwoman from the Meteor Rock. So, mostly the show will pick up from there. We will also see some developments in the love interest of the characters.

There will be a love triangle between Luke, Mary, and a third undisclosed character. It will be exciting to see these complications along with the battle that Batwoman fights. Tommy Elliot aka the villainous Hush was transformed into Bruce Wayne. Alice did it to acquire Kryptonite from the billionaire’s company.

In the S01 finale, we got to know that Safiyah Sohail is hunting Julia Pennyworth. Sohail has already killed the Wonderland Gang of Alice. There have been several hints in the first installment that she will arrive in Gotham city at some point in time. So, she could be featured as the big bad in season two.

We might also get to see the real Batman/Bruce Wayne at some point in the second installment.
