The cause of the death of Cady Groves has been revealed. The singer-songwriter died in May 2020, and the reason why she died has been made public recently.
According to a report of Today, Groves died of complications from chronic ethanol abuse as reported by the office of the Davidson County Medical Examiner in Nashville.

The news of death of Cody Groves first came nearly three months ago. After such a long time, her death cause and other findings have been revealed by the medical examiner’s office.
Cady’s elder brother, Cody Groves first broke her death news by posting an emotion post on his Twitter handle. He had shared: “She has left this world.” At that time, he had added that details were scarce, but their family was trying to get them all. He also promised to keep people updated with the latest developments in the case.
After that Cody had posted another tweet saying that his sister died of natural causes, a foul coroner’s report was pending though at that time. However, foul play and self-harm were ruled out by the coroner.
“She had some medical problems last fall and our best guess at this point until further testing is complete is that they had resurfaced,” Cody wrote. “Please respect her name and family before sharing information that did not come directly from here.”
Born in Emporia, Kansas, the singer-songwriter used to live in Nashville at the time of her death.
In summer 2020, Cady Groves was to release the work that she signed with the Thirty Tigers label. She had spent 2019 working on the same with the team from Shane McAnally’s SMACKSongs.
On May 29, the team of Groves released the latest album by the singer. It’s titled Bless My Heart. It was finished at the time when the coronavirus struck the whole world.
“[Cady] was really looking forward to the next few months and release of her new album,” Cody said. “Our latest in-depth conversation (since most were witty banter) was her sending me songs to critique and give feedback on.”
Cady became the third person to die at such a young age after her brother, Casey Groves who died on October 23, 2007, at age 28. Then, her brother, Kelly Groves died at age 28 on March 23, 2014.
