Are you looking for updates on Death in Paradise season 10? This ìs where you will find most of your answers, if not all.
The British-French crime drama has been stealing popularity in many countries since it was first released. Now, we know for quite some time about season 10 coming to life, but the doubts still find its way somehow. The audience is keen to know the premiere, plot, cast, and more about the upcoming season. Therefore, here we are on all the updates.
Death in Paradise season 9 featured detective inspector (DI) Jack Mooney and his daughter leaving the island to go to London. He handed over his duties for the new DI Neville Parker.
All we could see Neville do in the remainder of the show was to dislike the island because of his several personal issues. However, in the end, he couldn’t leave the island behind and decided to stay back and continue his job since he couldn’t deny the beauty of Saint Marie.
Is Season 10 of Death in Paradise returning?
Season 9 and 10 renewal was announced at the same time, so the fans were not only excited but also relieved to know that they won’t have to say goodbye just yet.
“We’re excited to let the audience get to know our new characters better whilst also throwing some major surprises into the mix along the way – and of course solving the odd murder or sixteen,” said Tim Key (the executive producer) in 2019.
The show has been running since 2011, but still, the thought of watching it end will sting a little. Nevertheless, we still have time until the makers announce about the end since its not on their list yet.
When will Death in Paradise season 10 release? Premiere Date
After the outbreak of COVID-19 happened and that shut every little industry in the world, Tim Key expressed his feelings towards the delaying of season 10 filming. “In light of the spread of COVID-19, after much consideration, Red Planet Pictures, the producers of Death in Paradise have postponed filming in consultation with and supported by the BBC.
We will continue to review all productions on a case-by-case basis. We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the Foreign Office, the World Health Organisation, and Public Health England.”
On the other hand, Robert Thorogood, the maker had clearly stated about the postponement and how sad he felt. Still, he assured at the same time to return “at some point”. At present, the filming has begun on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, as of July 2020. If not the case of coronavirus, we’d be sure to receive the series in January 2021. It is because the makers release it around the same time ritualistically.
